WORKING DAY OF A MEDICAL STUDENT
I am a third-year student of ASMI, therapeutic faculty. Every day I have much interesting and necessary work to do. I always remember that the lost time is never gained and that’s why I don’t like to waste even a minute.
I get up early in the morning, do my morning exercises and have a shower. As we are medical students we consider that physical exercises are “a good remedy” for the protection of our health against diseases. We must remember the Latin saying “Mens sana in corpore sano”.
After breakfast I go to the main building of our Institute. It takes me 20 minutes to get there by route taxi. Our classes usually begin at 8.00 in the morning. We have lunch during a long break at 11.20. We have sandwiches or hot-dogs with coffee or juice for lunch. Then we have one or two pairs of lesson. It may be lectures, seminars or practical classes.
After classes we go to the library, reading-room or internet-café to find additional information for our report on different subjects. It is very important for students to know foreign languages to read modern medical literature in the original that’s why I have lessons on Tuesdays and Fridays at our English Club.
I come back home at 5 or 6 o’clock and have a little rest. After supper I prepare many different tasks for my homework. If I have free time I meet with my friends or spend an hour at a Fitness Club.
I go to bed at about 11 o’clock. I am often tired but I understand that every day which passes by gives me much valuable and necessary knowledge.
