The Republic of Uzbekistan occupies the territory of 447.4 thousands square kilometres and situated in Central Asia.It borders on Kirgihzia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan,Tajikistan and Afganistan. On the whole the climate of Uzbekistan is continental with a long dry and hot summer, cool moist autumn and a rather cold winter with little snow, as a rule. Uzbekistan belongs to the area with small amount of precipitation and here the agriculture is possible only using artificial irrigation. Thanks to artificial and natural irrigation, greenhouse comlexes and modern agricultural technologies, farmers grow wheat, corn, cotton, potatoes, vegetables and fruits for internal and external markets. From September 1, 1991, the Republic of Uzbekistan is considered to be an independent state. Uzbekistan declares itself open for signing equal and mutually beneficial agreements and contracts with all the partner-countries of the world. Symbols of independency are: emblem, flag, anthem, currency, army, constitution, landmass, language and others. The Republic of Uzbekistan is governed by Constitution and Laws of the republic. The Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan was adopted on December 8, 1992 at the 11-th session of the Supreme Soviet of the Republic of Uzbekistan. According to article 18 of the Constitution, all citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan enjoy equal rights and freedoms, and are equal before the law, without distinction of the gender, race, nationality, language, religion, social origin, convictions, individual and social status. Uzbekistan is the multinational country. Representatives of more than one hundred nations and folks live on this territory. The course of the home policy of the Government is directed to the religious liberty of all the peoples living in it. The Republic of Uzbekistan is rich in various mineral recources , such as : ore minerals, manganese, precious metals, non-ferrous and rare metals, copper, lead and zinc, tungsten, tin, hydrominerals, strontium, aluminium ores, vollastonitum, graphite, talk and talk stone and many others. The industry of Uzbekistan is a branch of national economy. Uzbekistan produces cars, buses, clothes, food, computers, refigerators, washing machines, air-conditioners, gas stoves, textile products, toys and many other things. Textile, car-building, food industries and production of building materials are highly developed. Nowadays our country is under great crucial reconstructions and reforms in all spheres of national economy. Development of science and modern technologies make great contribution to the construction and reconstruction of new Uzbek society. Uzbekistan is rich in national customs and traditions. Many historical complexes in Bukhara, Samarqand, Tashkent, Khiva and other cities and towns are under the defence of UNESCO. The Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan imposes very serious duties on its citizents to keep our nature including rare plants and animals, historical legacy and traditions. Download 137.03 Kb.
