Example: (Sample text) Despite the fact that our cultural environment has shrunk in size—and, some would argue, quality—there are still significant variations between the traditional British and American writing styles. The question is, how do you communicate your message? The most original ideas in English literature are conveyed as if they were eternal realities, but American writing exaggerates; half of what is said is enough. The former employs understatement, whereas the latter employs exaggeration. Each characteristic technique has its own set of drawbacks. While there are certain advantages to reading aloud (predictable output, practicality, and scoring consistency), there are some disadvantages to employing this approach to measure oral performance. Reading aloud is inauthentic un the sense that we seldom read anything aloud to anybody else in the actual world, with the exception of a parent reading to a kid, sharing a written narrative with someone on occasion, or presenting a planned oral presentation.
