-to learn pronunciation of word stress and intonation, vowels and consonants, voiced and voiceless sounds

to enable students talk about phone conversations, directions and etc.

-to ask directions and answer phone calls with correct pronunciation
- learn to identify stress and intonation

Warm-up:
Activity 1 Sing the song. 5 min
Objectives: warm up students and introduce new topic
Teacher plays the DVD and students first listen to the song and sing along the second time


Pre- stage:
Activity 2 Minimal pairs Bingo! 10 min
Objective: to explain the difference between homophones and distinguish voiced and voiceless sounds which are similar.


While-stage:
Activity 3 Odd one out 15 min
Objective: makes students practice the vowels and consonants and their correct pronunciation.
Teacher puts similar words into group of two or three and one with different sound. Students need to select this odd word.
