Homework Task Fifteen


Please explain in one page how the Homework Task One lesson fits into the syllabus of the course, the curriculum, and the national standards.
The lesson for the Homework Task One was developed according to the course syllabus. The type syllabus designed for teaching the reading/writing course in the curriculum is of a skills-based approach. According to Nuan, D. (1992, Cambridge Press), skills-based approaches are organized around the four-macro skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing.
By the end of Year 3, students should be able

  • To understand different diseases, their causes, how to prevent and the ways of curing them.

  • To write letters to different doctors and hospitals to collaborate, summaries to diseases, receipts for drugs and etc

  • To communicate using the appropriate language with doctors and patients

As Dr. Haji Mohd. Ghazali bin Ab. Rahman states, this standard covers the requirements for planning and conduction assessment, providing feedback to students, reporting on student learning and using the outcomes of student assessment to improve teaching and learning (2011, English Language Teaching Center).

Conclusion
I have learned using appropriate strategies effectively gives me a chance to monitor, assess and improve language learners’ competence. Using the skills in context depends on focusing, so the learners can cope with authentic language is the basis for proficiency-oriented instruction. Based on this approach, this syllabus is aimed at developing the writing skills of students and familiarization of variety types of writing during the semester. In writing they may not increase their writing skills but also they can develop their reading, speaking, and listening skills. All the skills are developed in the context in which the preference is developing students’ writing skills. The lesson clearly fits the curriculum, which aims at teaching future doctors. Teaching English as a Foreign language course focuses to develop ESP students ability of understanding and using the language in their ESP context. English language course for medicine learners. The language course is one of the courses that come from the National Standard language strand curriculum. Moreover, this curriculum includes a strand of language in content. In language strand learners have more hours of teaching in Year 1 and 2, and in Year 3. The lesson derived from the course syllabus for medicine content and comes from curriculum matches the content of teaching and learning foreign language for level B2 of Higher Education, Specialist Language Undergraduate Programmers in Uzbekistan. The curriculum sets the aim of reaching B2 level of CEFR by the end of Year 3. In all 3 years students develop their language in all 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) in the content of medicine.

Tegishli strategiyalardan samarali foydalanishni o‘rgandim, bu menga til o‘rganuvchilarning malakasini kuzatish, baholash va yaxshilash imkonini beradi. Ko'nikmalarni kontekstda qo'llash diqqatni jamlashga bog'liq, shuning uchun o'quvchilar haqiqiy tilni tushunishlari uchun malakaga yo'naltirilgan ta'lim uchun asos bo'ladi. Ushbu yondashuvdan kelib chiqqan holda, ushbu o'quv dasturi semestr davomida talabalarning yozish ko'nikmalarini rivojlantirishga va turli xil yozish turlari bilan tanishishga qaratilgan. Yozishda ular yozish ko'nikmalarini oshirmasligi mumkin, lekin ular o'qish, gapirish va tinglash qobiliyatlarini rivojlantirishlari mumkin. Barcha ko'nikmalar talabalarning yozish ko'nikmalarini rivojlantirishga qaratilgan kontekstda rivojlanadi. Dars kelajakdagi shifokorlarni o'qitishga qaratilgan o'quv dasturiga aniq mos keladi. Ingliz tilini chet tili sifatida o'rgatish kursi ESP talabalarining ESP kontekstida tilni tushunish va undan foydalanish qobiliyatini rivojlantirishga qaratilgan. Tibbiyot o'quvchilari uchun ingliz tili kursi. Til kursi Milliy standart til boʻlimi oʻquv dasturidan olingan kurslardan biridir. Bundan tashqari, ushbu o'quv dasturi mazmunan til qatorini o'z ichiga oladi. Til bo'limida o'quvchilar 1 va 2-sinflarda va 3-sinflarda ko'proq o'qitish soatlariga ega. Tibbiyot mazmuni bo'yicha kurs dasturidan olingan va o'quv dasturidan olingan dars oliy ta'limning B2 darajasi uchun chet tilini o'qitish va o'rganish mazmuniga mos keladi, O'zbekistonda til bo'yicha bakalavr dasturchilari. O'quv dasturi 3-sinf oxirigacha CEFRning B2 darajasiga erishishni maqsad qilib qo'ygan. Barcha 3 yil davomida talabalar tibbiyot fanining mazmunidagi barcha 4 ta ko'nikma (tinglash, gapirish, o'qish va yozish) bo'yicha o'z tillarini rivojlantiradilar.
