Abstract. This article provides a complete overview of scientific research devoted to the study of the
bioecological properties of the common almond - Prunus amygdalus Batsch. In preparing the review, the
works, articles and electronic resources devoted to the common almond were carefully analyzed. Since almond
is a heat-loving, drought-resistant, xerophytic plant, it grows on the mountain and foothill slopes of Tashkent,
Jizzakh, Samarkand, Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya regions, where the annual rainfall exceeds 500-700 mm. In
our republic, mainly 4 types of almonds grow. Currently, almond species are included in Prunus L. Last year,
Uzbekistan exported 27,321 tons of almonds. The literature mainly contains information about the plant's
resistance to drought and salinity, morphological features, growth and development, and distribution areas.
Self-pollination of almonds leads to low yields. Therefore, with cross-pollination of almond varieties, high
