FILOLOGIYA 1/5 2023 - 304 - Phraseological unit consists of a two-sided linguistic unit, a dialectical unit of form and content. The formal side of a phraseological unit is the word (not the vocabulary). Their content is phrases. Phrase meanings are complex, some are indicative, as in vocabulary, while others are only grammatical. For example, a phraseological unit belonging to an independent group of words: burgaga achchiq qilib, ko‘rpaga o‘t qo‘ymoq, tarvuzi qo‘ltig‘idan tushmoq; every cloud has a silver lining are denotative, turgan gap, shunga qaramay; in fact, independent phraseological units fulfill only a grammatical function. The phrase structure of the language has very broad meanings and stylistic nuances. Phrasal and word units should not be considered completely equivalent. Because phraseological units do not always replace words. Phrasal and word units have many differences in structure and meaning, and their morphological and syntactic functions are also different. According to their content, words are formed as a whole, and phraseological units are formed individually in the form of sentences and sentences.
