Phraseological unit consists of a two-sided linguistic 
unit, a dialectical unit of form and content. The formal side of 
a phraseological unit is the word (not the vocabulary). Their 
content is phrases. Phrase meanings are complex, some are 
indicative, as in vocabulary, while others are only 
grammatical. For example, a phraseological unit belonging to 
an independent group of words: burgaga achchiq qilib, 
ko‘rpaga o‘t qo‘ymoq, tarvuzi qo‘ltig‘idan tushmoq; every 
cloud has a silver lining are denotative, turgan gap, shunga 
qaramay; in fact, independent phraseological units fulfill only 
a grammatical function. 
The phrase structure of the language has very broad 
meanings and stylistic nuances. Phrasal and word units should 
not 
be 
considered 
completely 
equivalent. 
Because 
phraseological units do not always replace words. Phrasal and 
word units have many differences in structure and meaning, 
and their morphological and syntactic functions are also 
different. According to their content, words are formed as a 
whole, and phraseological units are formed individually in the 
form of sentences and sentences. These characteristics are 
reflected in their pronunciation and spelling.

the fact that the word that makes up it is used in whole or in 
part figuratively. For example, trying to figure out what 
someone is thinking is like trying to figure out what's going 
on. Accordingly, the free-hand combination of sheep 
specializes in expressing other content similar to self-
perceived content, the device becomes a phraseological unit, 
and in the phraseological unit "put a finger in each cake", we 
have can see a similar relationship. 
Phraseological units can also be formed by 
figuratively certain words being used by others in their own 
sense. For example, in phraseological units “aqlini yemoq, 
og‘zi qulog‘ida” or “jockey for position”, the words “aql”, 
“og‘iz” or “position”, “job” are in their original meanings, the 
words “yemoq”, “qulog‘ida” and “jockey” are figurative. 
Sometimes a device that represents the outcome of an 
action situation becomes a phraseological unit. For example, a 
person may bite his finger out of regret. These include: “tishini 
tishiga qo‘ymoq”, “labiga uchuq toshmoq” or “to show one’s 
teeth”. 
Some phraseological units are also formed on the 
basis of different religious beliefs, concepts, narrations. For 
example, ko‘z tegmoq, ko‘zi uchmoq; devil’s advocate, a 
voice crying out in the wilderness.
