skills. Technology includes the development of particular mathematical terminology
and the adaptation of precise mathematical vocabulary, both necessary for the
representation and communication of results and solutions (Elena Corina Georgescu,
2013). the Ontario Curriculum for Grade 9 and 10 Mathematics (2005) specified that
teachers should encourage their students “to select and use the technology that
would best support and communicate their learning”.
In keeping with the study conducted by Lexi Wichelt and Kearney, NE (2009),
they found that students did a better job of interacting with their colleagues than they
did with them at the beginning of their survey. (Wichelt, 2009) Communication is vital
not only in the mathematics classroom, but in all classrooms. All educators know
how important it is to be able to communicate with students, enable students to
communicate with each other and get students to understand what they are talking
about. When students express their thoughts verbally, visually, and in written form in
a variety of ways in mathematics problem-solving, then students will have a better
understanding of the concepts and will be able to explain their thought (Khan, 2013).
Sumarmo (2000) argued that mathematics as a language of symbols implies that
mathematics is universal and can be understood by anyone anytime and anywhere
and also Mathematical communication support other mathematical skills, such as
problem-solving ability. With good communication skills then the problem will sooner
be represented correctly, and it will be supported to resolve the problem. Hulukati
(2005) states that communication skills is a prerequisite for solving mathematical
problems, if students cannot communicate properly interpret mathematical problems
and concepts it cannot resolve the problem properly
. TeachThought Staff (2017), One direction that technology is changing
education is by having the teachers more available. Callas claims instructors are
willing to communicate with students almost 24 hours a day, rather than the "old-
