PRACTICAL AND LABORATORY WORK №2
THEME: “PRINCIPLES FOR CONFIGURE THE CONNECTION TO MICROSOFT SQL SERVER AND DATABASE CREATION ATABASE DESIGN”


TASK:

  1. Create a working folder on the pi_srv server (or on a local computer if there is no server) to store the files from the practical work. This folder should be located in the folder \Databases\Group\Student and corresponds to the number of the practical work to be performed.

  2. Based on the individual task, choose a file name for the database to be created. For the name, it is best to choose one or more English words corresponding to the name of the subject area. Using Uzbek or Russian words written in Latin letters for the name is not permitted. are not allowed.

  3. Open SQL Server Management Studio. You can do this from the Start menu (Start/Programs/Microsoft SQL Server 2008/ SQL Server Management Studio).

  4. Create a connection to a local or remote server.

  5. Create a database for your subject area using the dialog, by selecting the server "pi_srv" or the local server "Computer_name\SQLEXPRESS"

  6. Create a database and use as the filename "\Databases\Group\Student_Name\Database_name" as the file name.

  7. Extract metadata to automatically generate a database creation command database.

  8. Delete the database by running the command "Database/Drop Database".

  9. Create the database in the second way by running in the window "Script Executive" the operators obtained by extracting the metadata before the previous deletion.

  10. Create a backup of the database.

  11. Delete the database.

  12. Restore the database from a backup.

  13. Save the script file on the server in the folder "Student" , giving it the name "lab.1" and the default extension "*.sql".



Note: The reason i had a problem to install the sql server on my computer
i did tasks in postgresql
