PREFACE 
The graduation project is a summary of the undergraduate university study trip, and it 
reflects the student's ability to put forward scientific ideas and issues based on evidence and 
proofs to prove what he reached in his graduation project. Therefore, the student's interest in 
writing his graduation project report should not be underestimated because it reflects the 
student's personality and scientific ability. Hence, for the purpose of making the graduation 
projects reports of the electrical engineering department’s students to appear in an appropriate 
and a unified manner, making it easier for the reader to benefit from, the Department of 
Electrical Engineering at the University of Kufa has prepared this booklet as an important 
guide, for all students of the final stage, that must be followed and adhered to. 
This handbook, which is prepared based on different international universities styles, is a main 
guide and reference for writing undergraduate projects’ reports. It collects all details and 
requirements of an undergraduate project. We hope this handbook could help the students in 
learning how to write the project report to fulfill the undergraduate project’s requirements of 
Electrical Engineering Department – University of Kufa.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS 
 

Background 
This chapter explains the general requirements of the bachelor project preparation that 
was approved by Electrical Engineering Department / University of Kufa. All undergraduate 
students must read this handbook thoroughly before intending to write their projects, referring 
to this handbook step by step in their bachelor projects’ preparations, and follow the approved 
formatting and the instructions found here. 

Language 
One of the most important issues in writing any project report or thesis is the quality and 
readability of the language, because that eases understanding what the author means and gives 
proper image of the information inside the project or thesis. Therefore, the project must be 
written using a simple and clear English language. Both British and American dialects of the 
English language are approved by Electrical Engineering Department. 

Project Title 
The title of project must not be more than 25 words. It should be put above the middle of 
the project's report cover. It is preferred to avoid using abbreviations in the project title page 
unless necessary and strictly after the supervisor approval. The font style of project title is 
(Uppercase, Centered, Bold, and 20-point font).
