We are living in an era where genomics-powered precision medicine is improving patient health and wellness like never before, by identifying underlying causes of disease, optimizing treatments, and leading to better outcomes for both individuals and healthcare providers.​​Genomic technologies, including next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), in precision health allow for disease-associated variants to be identified to match patients to the best therapies or to assess disease risk, thus improving health management and reducing overall costs. ​Research advancements in preventative genomics applications, including pharmacogenomics (PGx) and polygenic risk scores (PRS), are moving beyond translational research, with multiple implementation studies under way. ​​
Illumina offers array and NGS solutions and collaborative expertise to support your PGx and PRS studies and to help implement genomics-based precision medicine programs that can ultimately lead to better patient care.​​This event will run as a series of mid-day talks, on 6-7th June 2023, where you will be able to learn about the current state of the field, progress on translational applications, and hear where the field is going – both in terms of a big vision for the future of precision medicine, and in terms of technological advancements. During the event, you will also have the opportunity to learn about the newly launched Illumina solutions for PGx and PRS.
