4.3 MSE and PSNR Analysis
Mean Square Error (MSE) and Peak Signal to Noise Ratio is calculated for the bench mark images. (1) PSNR is the ratio of the mean square difference two images to the maximum mean square differences that exist between two images. Larger the value of PSNR, greater the quality of the image. (2) Table 4: PSNR of different images DICOM images PSNR (O–D) PSNR (O–E) A Infinity -89.0466 B Infinity -89.8583 c Infinity -90.7364 d Infinity -89.7911 e Infinity -85.8115 f Infinity -86.7166 g Infinity -90.7078 h Infinity -90.3206 i Infinity -90.3022 j Infinity -90.0853 4.4 Correlation Analysis In general, Correlation is a statistical measure that indicates the extent to which two or more variables fluctuate together. A positive correlation indicates the extent to which those variables increase or decrease in parallel; a negative correlation indicates the extent to which one variable increases as the other decreases. Figure 3 shows the input images taken for analysis. Correlation coefficient is calculated based on (3) (3) In the first step 10,000 pairs of horizontally, vertically and diagonally adjacent pixels are selected randomly from the image and correlation is calculated for the selected pairs. Table 1 show that the proposed algorithm provides good security. Fig 3. List of medical images for co-relation analysis A.M.
