Communication is unrepeatable and irreversible. Every human contact you experience is unique. It has never happened before, and it will never happen in just that way again. An old proverb says "You can never step into the same river twice", because the experience changes both you and the river forever. Thus, communication is both unrepeatable and irreversible. We can neither take back something we have said nor evade the effects of something we have done. And although we may be greatly influenced by our past, we can never reclaim it.
