The Life and work of Shakespeare.

Conclusion
It is assumed that half of Shakespeare (18) was published in one way or another
during the life of the playwright. The folio of 1623 (referred to as the"First folio"),
published by Edward Blount and William Jaggard, is considered the most important
edition of Shakespeare's legacy; printers Worrall and Col. This edition includes 36
of Shakespeare's plays - all except "Pericles" and "two noble Cousins". It is this
publication that is based on all research in the field of Shakespeare.
This project was done through the efforts of Shakespeare's friends and
colleagues John Hemings and Henry Condell. The book is preceded by an address
to readers on behalf of Hemings and Condell, as well as a poetic dedication to
Shakespeare by playwright Ben Jonson, who contributed to the publication of “the
First folio”.
When the theatres were closed in 1593 and 1594 due to the plague, Shakespeare
created two erotic poems: "Venus and Adonis" and "Lucretia the shameful" . The
poems were dedicated to Henry Risley, Earl of Southampton . In" Venus and
Adonis", the innocent Adonis rejects Venus ' sexual advances-while Lucretia
Dishonored Lucretia is raped by her virtuous wife Tarquinius. Influenced by Ovid's
Metamorphoses, the lyrics show the guilt and dire consequences of uncontrolled
love. Both poems became popular and were reprinted several times during
Shakespeare's lifetime. A third poem," moaning in love", in which a girl complains
of an obscene liar, was printed in the first edition of sonnets in 1609. Most scholars
now agree that Shakespeare wrote"the groan of lovers". The poem "The Phoenix and
the Dove", published in 1601 in Robert Chester's collection "the martyr of Love", is
an account of the sad death of the mythological phoenix qiladi.va his beloved
faithful dove. In 1599, two of Shakespeare's sonnets were printed on Shakespeare's
behalf, but without his consent, in“ the passionate Pilgrim”.
