  1. Introduction

Abstract
Speaking is one of the language abilities that must be mastered by any foreign language learner. Skilled educators stated that one of the objectives of the English subject in in secondary schools is developing the ability to communicate in English, either in written or in oral form which covers listening speaking, reading and writing. But in fact, pupils find it quite difficult to improve their speaking ability because in a daily life they use their mother tongue rather than use English. Even, English is not their second language. English is a foreign language, so they only use English to communicate when they are in the classroom. This is the reason why speaking is considered as the most difficult skill to be mastered.
The purpose of this research work consists of determining the knowledge of elementary school students about speaking, and using useful methods and games to develop this skill, as well as applying the acquired knowledge to life.
Based on the formulation of the problem, the objective of the study is to improve the speaking ability of the pupils in primary grades.
