ACADEMIC INTEGRITY POLICY

Academic integrity is highly valued at Nordic International University, and necessary action is taken to prevent plagiarism, fraud, and other forms of academic dishonesty.

Plagiarism consists of:

  1. Use any source, including electronic sources, in your work without citing it.

  2. The illegal submission of a research project by another author in any format.

  3. Academic integrity involves stealing exam, test, or other course materials, bribery, collusion, or other behaviors like accepting money. It also includes cheating on examinations, tests, assignments, or reports. and so forth.

The following steps will be followed when a student is the victim of the aforementioned academic offenses:
1. If a student commits any academic misconduct on an exam, test, or assignment, they will earn a grade of F (0).
2. A student will be expelled from the course with a record on his transcript if he or she commits an academic offense once again.
Office hours
Teacher's office hour is when students may register outside of class. Each student is allotted one hour of the instructor’s time during the semester; if a student does not comprehend the subject or wishes to enhance his or her knowledge, he or she may ask the teacher to schedule time outside of class and provide instructions. Don't wait for examinations to begin; this is a highly hectic period for everyone.
Feedback
During the course, students are provided with detailed information about the process of mastering the subject and the fulfillment of the tasks set. In this regard, they can contact the professors and teachers assigned to the subject with any problems and questions at the specified time. Student feedback on lessons and learning materials is also important. This will help to further improve the course taught. Therefore, a feedback forum will be opened in the Hemis system, where students can write down their comments on improving the quality of the course during the course.
