  Settings of bus stops combined with bus lanes 
Buses run on bus lane merely so as to be separated from other traffic and bus 
traffic which less enough have little effect on passengers and non-motor 
vehicles. Bus stop is established for the properties of buses running on bus lane. 
2.3.1. Bus stops setting along outside bus lane 
Outside bus lane means the rightmost driving direction of motor vehicle, in 
other words, the far-right lane is used for bus lane with the relevant bus stops 
setting on the sidewalk. As shown in Fig. 5. 
2.3.2. Bus stops setting along inside bus lanes 
Inside bus lane means the motor vehicle lanes on both side of the central 
isolation belt is seen as the bus lane. It is generally used in the double amplitude 
road or four amplitude road with the relevant bus stops setting on the central 
isolation belt. As shown in Fig. 6.

The Effect of Bus Stops on Traffic Safety 
3.1.
  Analysis of traffic conflict causes 
As urban public transport infrastructure, the bus stop, whose establishment on 
the residential quarter or business center with large travel demand and a good 
many of people is the inducing point of traffic conflict on road. Since the bus
passengers and non-motor vehicles would not be separated effectively at the 
limited space consist of the bus station and adjacent road. Interweave of various 
traffic flow results in traffic conflicts inevitably. Sudden increase in the traffic 
brings pressure and challenge to the traffic safety on the limit space, especially 
in peak hour of public transportation.
