3.2.
Settings along isolation area between non-motor vehicle and motor vehicle for linear bus stop There is no conflict due to no crossing non-motor vehicle and motor vehicle flows at this stop. As Fig. 7 shown that the main factors of traffic safety come from the following two aspects: (i) Conflict between buses and motor vehicle The outside motor vehicle lane is occupied with the process of bus stopping, which causes that the following cars change the lane to the inside motor vehicle lane, conflicting by tails with buses. It will produce rear-end conflict from mutual influences between buses and other motor vehicles when buses changing lane for entering and leaving station. (ii) Conflict between passengers and non-motor vehicles Only by crossing the non-motor vehicle lanes, can passengers arrive at or leave this type of station. It causes horizontal conflict and traffic safety risks by the interplay that passengers and non-motor vehicle cut off each other. 3.3. Linear bus stop setting along sidewalk Non-motor vehicle traffic will be affected seriously by the process of bus stopping, at this point non-motor vehicles either stay at the upper reaches of 225 station or overtake the stopping bus by the use of the outside lane and the non-motor vehicle lanes that the passenger transfer occupied. The kind of station is generally set on the double amplitude road or four amplitude road without traffic barricade so that passenger cross the road directly after getting off the bus giving up the zebra crossings on intersection. As Fig. 8 shown that the main factors of traffic safety come from the following two aspects: (i) Conflict between non-motor vehicles and buses, motor vehicle, passengers Non-motor vehicle traffic is scattered so that they couldn’t drive normally during the occupation of non-motor vehicle lane by buses using the stop. The process of bus entering and leaving the station bring out rear-end conflict between non-motor vehicles and buses. And some non-motor vehicles. Some of the non-motor vehicles use motor vehicle lane, leading lateral confliction with motor vehicles and the other non-motor vehicles continues to drive the path on the non-motor vehicles causing the horizontal confliction with passengers getting on or off while the non-motor lane is occupied to park buses. (ii) Conflict between motor vehicles and passengers Because of setting on the double amplitude road or four amplitude road and most of them without isolation area, horizontal conflict between motor vehicles and passengers result from that passenger getting off the buses cross the road randomly rather than long the zebra crossing. What’s more, passengers’ security is affected by the motor vehicle more seriously for limited visual range caused by buses obstruction. Download 455.17 Kb. Do'stlaringiz bilan baham: |
