The Present simple tense

a) ish harakatning sodir bo’lgan aniq vaqti ko’rsatilsa:
I drove to work yesterday.
b) ish harakatning o’tgan zamondagi aniq bir vaqtda bir necha marta bo’lganligi aytilganda:
I went to the cinema four times last month.
S + would + VI
Bu used to ni o’rnini bosadi.
We used to/would eat out on Sundays.
Lekin would holatni ifodalovchi so’zlar bilan ishlatilmaydi:
They used to live in London. (not would)
I used to have a dog. (not would)
2. S + am, is, are+used to + Ving/noun/pronoun
O’tgan zamonda biror bir ish harakatga odatlanib bajarib hozir ham bajarayotgan ish harakatlarni ifodalash uchun ishlatamiz, ya’ni uzoq muddatli ko’nikma.
I’m used to living in this country.
She is used to driving on the left.
She wasn’t used to living in the country. (past)
3. S + will get, get, got + used to Ving/noun/pronoun
Biz bu formulani yangi narsaga ko’nikishni ifodalash uchun ishlatamiz.
I am getting used to the weather. (present)
He didn’t like using the computer at first, but he got used to it. (past)
She will soon get used to wearing contact lenses. (future)
We have moved to a new house now. It is very strange for us here but I hope we shall get used to living here.
Jane had to get used to driving on the left.
Used to ishtirok etgan darak gaplarning so’roq inkor shakli did va didn’t bilan yasaladi. Bunda used to dagi “d” tushib qoladi.
Did you use to love a girl when you were a schoolboy.
Jack didn’t use to go out very often until he met Jill.
Ba’zida used to so’roq va inkor shaklini o’zi ham yasashi mumkin.
He used to live here. Used he to live here? He used not to live here.


Modal verbs. Modal fe’llar

Modal fe’llar odatda mustaqil fe’llardan oldin kelib ularga modallik ya’ni qo’shimcha ma’no ifodalaydi.
