Abstract-The 21st century is widely considered to be the age of technology, as it has become an integral part of our daily lives. Technology has eliminated distance barriers and enabled education to be delivered right to students' doorsteps. The impact of technology can be seen in virtually every field, including education. Education refers broadly to the transfer of knowledge, skills and habits from one generation to another through teaching, training and research. In today's world, educational technology plays a crucial role in teaching due to the use of information and communication technologies (ICT). Educational technology is a structured process that leverages modern technology to enhance the quality of education by systematically conceptualizing performance evaluation during the learning and teaching processes while helping with application of contemporary educational techniques. This paper attempts conceptually investigate how new roles for technology are transforming education beyond its past description as simply a medium for instruction.

Introduction-In the contemporary world, technology holds a significant position. With each passing day, novel software or gadget is introduced into the market that serves to enhance our lives in one way or another. Technology plays an indispensable role in every field, and education stands out as a field where its presence is most pronounced. The advancement of technology has led to rapid growth in education among people; ongoing research and development are being conducted on introducing advanced technologies to make education more accessible, joyful and facile.
Nowadays, with the aid of technology, children's education is no longer tedious and enormous- educational technologies have made it much more attractive and user-friendly. Study while playing has been made possible only by modern technology. Distance learning provides great assistance for students who were previously unable to pursue their degrees because of geographical barriers. However, due to the rapid changes in technology, distance is no longer an obstacle for them anymore.
In today's fast-paced digital world, technology has become an essential tool in many aspects of our lives, including education. It has dramatically transformed the way teachers teach and students learn. The role of technology in teaching has never been more significant, as it has revolutionized traditional teaching methods and opened up a world of possibilities in the classroom.
