Schoolchildren should do extra work to earn money.   

Do you agree or disagree? 

Although  some  people  think  that  schoolchildren  can  do  some  extra 

work in order to earn money, I believe this is not true. I feel that pupils 

should  learn  well  at  school  and  in  free  times  do  sport  activities  or      

attend extra language or subject courses. 

It  is  clear  that  sometimes  students  need  more  money  to  buy  extra 

books or stationery, but the money they have in the pocket might be 

only enough for snacks or fares. In such cases they think of finding an 

easy part time job and making money and  their parents  might allow 

them  to  do  so.  However,  it  seems  to  me  that  children  should  not  do 

such  work  because  if  they  study  hard  now,  they  will  make  more    

money in their future job. 

What  is  more,  working  students  will  not  have  enough  time  to  do 

homework  and  they  are  likely  to  start  failing  in  most  subjects,  alt-

hough they try hard to combine part time job and studies. As a result, 

their  interest  to  school  starts  to  decline.  I  believe  that  a  better  way 

would be to take extra language or subject courses and for parents to 

cover their children’s financial needs.  

In conclusion, I think schoolchildren had better think of studying hard 

than  earning  money  because  by  doing  so,  they  will  make  the  most    

correct decision for their future.

It is widely believed that travelling by air must be reduced since it pollutes the 

environment  seriously  and  utilizes  global  resources  of  fuel.  I  partly  agree  with 

this viewpoint because on the one hand, planes are the biggest polluters, on the 

other hand, communication and travelling to other  countries would be slower if 

this was introduced.  

First and foremost, planes travel to longer distances in a short period of time and 

require vast amounts of fuel. This fuel, when burnt, releases harmful greenhouse 

gases that are said to devastate our planet. For example, a flight from London to 

New York is enough to pollute the air in the same level as 100 trucks do for the 

same distance. Thus, it would be considered crucial to reduce air flights. 

In  contrary,  if  planes  were  reduced  in  use  as  a  chief  method  of  travelling  in                    

national and international levels, communication as well as travelling to various 

parts  of  the  world  would  be  much  slower,  and  sometimes,  even    impossible.                

Billions of people around the world take flights for business  purposes, to study 

abroad, travel or other personal reasons. Moreover, transporting goods and mail 

packages  would  be  three  times  slower  than  now.  For  example,  delivery  of  a                  

package  from  the  US  to  Uzbekistan  by  air  usually  takes  7-8  days  by  speed  air 

mail. It is easy to imagine how much more time people would need to wait for the 

same delivery by ground and water transport. 

In conclusion, I believe planes continue to be the most optimal means of transport 

over  the  globe,  but  they  cause  serous  pollution.  Therefore  I  partly  agree  with                      

the idea that it is important to limit their use worldwide.
