Physical Literacy
Children need to learn how to throw a ball before
they can throw out the first pitch. Ready, Set,
PLAY! programs introduce children to the basics
of moving confidently and competently in a fun
and active environment that will help prepare
them for participation in a variety of sports and
activities.  Children will learn the fundamentals of
a wide range of physical activities including rolling,
swinging, running, skipping, jumping, balancing,
dribbling, throwing, catching, kicking and more.
Starting out here is the first step towards a lifetime
of fun and activity.
Learn to Bike and CAN-BIKE
Cycling courses will boost your skills,
safety and fun.
Learn to Bike takes place in parking lots, grassy
areas and indoor arenas (when available).
CAN-BIKE courses follow the curriculum of Cycling
Canada. CAN-BIKE group rides take place on
residential streets, arterial roads and along bicycle
paths, rain or shine.
Participants in all programs must have the
following:
•  a bicycle with a bell in good working condition,
and a bike lock
•  an approved bicycle helmet (CSA, Snell, ASTM,
