Activity 1b Look at Lesson 1 Activity 4a and complete. 10 min

Objectives: to reinforce the use of ordinal numbers; to develop pupils’ writing skills.

STEP 1:Ask the pupils to look at the pictures in Activity 4a of Lesson 1. Draw the school on the board. Write on the board the following word combinations: the first floor, the second floor, the third floornext to the corresponding floors. Ask the pupils to guess what the word combinations mean. if they have any difficulties, help them translate into their mother tongue.

STEP 2:Then draw the pupils’ attention to the location of the school rooms. help them with the first example: The library is on the second floor. Then go on having them say the location of

the other three rooms in the school. After that ask the pupils to complete the sentences inActivity 1b.
