Optional Activity 5 Listen and repeat.
Objective: to recycle the material of the previous unit
STEP 1: Ask the pupils what colour is the weather outside. Autumn is ending. The leaves which were yellow some time ago have fallen. Ask the pupils what is “sariq/желтый” in English. Soon it will be winter. And if we are lucky, it snows. What colour is it? After winter comes spring, and leaves and grass turn green. It turns out that every season has its colour.
STEP 2: Suggest the pupils listen a song. After listening the song, work on the pronunciation line by line. Then everybody sings together with you.
Spring is green
Summer is red
Autumn is yellow
Winter is white
Homework:
Explain to the pupils that at home they should draw the missing parts of the robot’s head on the right hand page. Ask them to remember how the parts of the head are called in English while painting the robot.


Unit 6 Parts of the body
Lesson 2 Left hand, right hand

Objectives
Educational:- to learn how to say the parts of the body
Developing:- to enable pupils to understand commands;
- to enable pupils to speak about the parts of the body
Socio-cultural:- to raise awareness of the commands;
- raise awareness of the pronunciation of the sound [].
Required equipment: Textbook, the DVD of the book.
Activity 1 Listen and sing.
Objective: to warm up
Ask the pupils to listen to the poem and then sing the song all together.
Tapescript:
Spring is green
Summer is red
Autumn is yellow
Winter is white
Activity 2 Look, listen and do.
Objectives: to introduce new words;
to practise the pronunciation of the sound [t]
STEP 1: Introduce the two new words: leg, hand (inactive: left, right.) Then at first call a pupil to the blackboard and command ‘Touch your right hand’, and help him/her fulfil the command. In the same way introduce the left and right leg. As usual work on the pronunciation of the words, especially the sound [t] in “touch”, “left” and “right”.
STEP 2: Consolidate the new words with the help of a game. Explain that if you say ‘left leg’ or ‘right hand’, they should not touch the appropriate hand or foot but raise them, i.e. the pupils should raise their left leg, then their right hand.
