INTRODUCTION
(annotation of the dissertation of doctor of philosophy (PhD))
The aim of the research. Taking into account the relevance of the studied issue and the fact that it has not yet been specifically analyzed as a separate research object, scientific analysis of the political, economic and cultural life of Khorezm in the last quarter of the 14th-15th centuries, as well as comparing the data peculiar to this period in the sources with the collected materials based on the archaeological investigations and summarizing the results and drawing scientific conclusions based on this is the main aim of the research.
The object of the research. Scientifically analyzing and summarizing information from written sources reflecting the history and culture of Khorezm oasis in the 14^th-15^th centuries, the results of archaeological investigations on the topic and data from scientific-historical literature based on a comparative study and an overall historical-cultural landscape of the oasis to be created for this period on the basis of this were chosen as the object of research.
The scientific novelty of the research:
on the basis of a new analysis of written sources and their comparative analysis with the data of new archeological research, the fact that the cultural development process of Khorezm during the period of Amir Temur and the Timurids did not find its true reflection in the scientific literature before independence, especially in the former Soviet historiography, the opinions in the literature of the period of the Soviet system that Khorezm culture was wiped out as a result of Amir Temur's attacks are untrue and the conclusions made are not impartial, has been proved;
based on the analysis of the political and economic situation of Khorezm in the 14^th and 15^th centuries, the culture of cities and their material culture complexes, and the spiritual life of that period, the fact that Khorezm was part of the huge kingdom of Amir Temur during these times and a number of activities carried out during the time of Amir Temur and the Timurids were of the factors on the way to cultural development of Khorezm along with other regions has been determined;
under the fact that the issue of trade development between the countries was specially emphasized in Timur and Timurids' diplomatic relations with other countries, the existence of promising plan for development, especially the cities, and the routes of the ancient Great Silk Road, the acts of Khorezm also within this system through the restoration of trade relations and thus the rise of the international status of Khorezm during these periods along with other regions and cities of the kingdom have been proved;
the development of science (theology, jurisprudence, medicine, philosophy, history, literature, calligraphy and music) in the 14^th and 15^th centuries at a high level was revealed on the basis of the results of written sources and archaeological research, material objects found in the centers of socio-cultural and ethnic relations of Khorezm as Gurganj, Kiyat, Zamakhshar and Jampikkala;
in addition to the data of written sources and the results of archaeological research, the necessity of involving information of other auxiliary history sciences (studies in the fields of ethnography, numismatics, toponomics, art history) into the research work and on this basis, objectively researching factual materials that have not yet been fully included in scientific circulation, has been determined in order to perfectly illuminate the research topic and draw complete scientific conclusions;
the socio-economic and cultural processes that took place in the Khorezm oasis in the 14^th-15^th centuries have been analyzed, scientific conclusions have been drawn and practical recommendations have been developed.
