Idiophraseomatic meaning 
It is information produced by set expressions, one of the components of which possess literal, but complicated meaning, and their derivatives are fully reconsidered:
To be in the same (in one) boat –
1.Be in the same position - Stable WG 
2. Lit. to be in the same boat (train, ship, etc.) - Free WG; 
Phraseomatic meaning 
It is information produced by set expressions with complicated meaning, but without transference (no metaphor or metonymy);
Phraseological units have fully or partly transferred meaning, while phraseomatic units are used in their literal meaning: 
Better late than never;

  1. What are the functions of interjectional PhUs in speech? Give examples

An interjection is an abrupt remark, an exclamation, esp. as a part of speech, e.g., Wow! Dear me! A phraseological interjection is a phrase that is grammatically independent from the words around it, and mainly expresses feeling, rather than meaning; 
I By George, what a beautiful house! Sake alive, this car costs an arm and a leg! Damn my eyes, if I lie! 
FUNCTIONS OF INTERJECTIONAL PhUs 
Volitive interjections are used to change the course of a conversation or to get someone's attention by the faculty of using one's will; 
Emotive interjections express how the speaker feels about what is being said
Cognitive interjections provide information that is not in the sentence, but is presumed as known beforehand


  1. Find 5 adjectival PhUs expressing intellect, containing simile, and analyse their types

  1.  (as) wise as Solomon

Exceptionally wise, discerning, or sound in judgment. A reference to the biblical King Solomon, renowned for his wisdom. She is considered as wise as Solomon and has become something of a matriarch within the community.

  1. 'as wise as an owl' If you want to refer to a person who is very wise, you can use the simile. "We think that he's as wise as an owl because of his years of experience in this business.
