Timber from trees is used to build houses and furniture. Palm leaves are woven into baskets, hats, and mats. People also extract perfumed oils from the flowers and leaves of some plants. In addition, some foods come from plants, including rice, wheat, fruit, beans and vegetables. Plants produce food too, such as edible fruits. Moreover, plant protection products are preparations intended to protect plants and also their products after harvesting. They are considered as pesticides, a group which also includes biocides and antiparasitics for human and veterinary use.

Every country has its national public holidays and celebrations. Each holiday has its marking customs. Uzbek people celebrate some holidays every year. Some of them are national holidays, the others are international holidays: 1st of January – New Year, 14th of January – Day of Defenders, 8th of March – International Women‘s Day, 21st of March– Navruz, 9th of May – Memorial Day, 1st of September – Independence Day, 1st of October – Teacher‘s Day, 8th of December – Constitution Day. There are also two major Muslim holidays, Ramadan Khait and Kurban Khait. They are celebrated each year according to the lunar calendar and these days are off.
