General terms and conditions
The English version of this document is a non-binding translation provided for information purposes only. The original German wording is binding in all respects 1. Conducting the study programme 1.1. Programme designation and degree IU Internationale Hochschule (herea er: IU) hereby commits to implementing the myStudies programme, which is stated on page 1, in line with the valid study and examination regulations. The contract is binding once the electronic confirmation of acceptance by IU is sent. Upon the successful completion of the myStudies programme, the student acquires the academic title dependent on the chosen study programme in line with the valid study and examination regulations. The content of the o ered courses and the respective time period correspond to the module handbook and curriculum, which is made available to the student in an accessible form. IU points out that in the case of newly introduced degree programmes, there may be a restriction with regard to the availability of study content from higher subject semesters. Nevertheless, IU guarantees that the contents of the respective study programmes can be completed within the underlying standard period of study. 1.2. Changes to the course plan IU has the right to carry out organisational and academic changes in its study programmes; to modify study plans, or redistribute modules of on-campus and virtual studies, provided that these changes do not alter or harm the goal of the study programme. 1.3. Admission to studies 1. Enrolment and admission to studies shall be in accordance with the provisions of the General Admission and Enrolment Regulations (AZE). 2. Applicants who are admitted, based on their professional qualifications, into a study programme that is unrelated to their previous academic experience, begin their study programme with the status of a participant, and will only become registered students once they have successfully completed the required courses in accordance with the General Examination Regulations (APO) and the Regulations for Admittance to Bachelor and Master Studies (OZBM). The entrance examination must be successfully passed within a period of twelve months, otherwise the study contract ends without any notice of termination being required. 3. For part-time students, the maximum duration of the trial study period shall be extended proportionately. 4. The provisions of this contract also apply to those with a participant status, even if the term ”student" is used. 5. Proof of English proficiency skills must be provided. The required proof of English proficiency skills is not a suspensive condition, and therefore does not a ect the validity of this agreement. However, failure to provide said proof can lead to the studentʼs de-registration from the study program. 6. During each semester that is carried out on-campus in Germany, the student is obligated to be insured by a statutory German health insurance provider.
