Prepared by:
Objectives of the lesson: Students will be able to understand similarities and differences between themselves and peers, write a describing word about themselves, and take part in fine motor activities.
Educational :- In this lesson, students will learn about how they are different from each other. They will then write about themselves! This lesson would fit in perfect with an "All About Me" theme.
Developing: I'm Gonna Like Me: Letting Off a Little SelfEsteem by Jamie Lee Curtis and Laura Cornell
Sociolinguistic competence:
Time: 45min.
The type of the lesson: nontraditional
Learning outcomes:
By the end of the lesson pupils, will be able to:

Required equipment: Pupil’s book, Workbook, multimedia projector, the DVD of the book, flashcards,
Color papers, a marker, handouts. I'm Gonna Like Me:
Letting Off a Little SelfEsteem by Jamie Lee Curtis and Laura Cornell Mr. Potato Head with sets with pieces.
Write and Draw paper (1 per student) Crayons
Procedure of the lesson
I. Introduction: -10 min
a) greeting and asking some warm up questions
Teacher says:
-Good morning pupils!
-How are you?
-I’m great. Sit down. Thank you.
- Are you ready for the lesson?
-Let’s start today’s our new lesson.
b) checking homework-teacher asks some pupils to come to the blackboard and check their homework with papers which stuck on the board.

Activity1. Listen and repeat. Objective: to warm up


Read students the story I'm Gonna Like Me.
Have students point out if they are similar to children in the story or different.
II. Introducing the new topic “About me” 3min
Teacher should explain pupils a new theme, describe them with flashcards.
III. Practising 13 min
Have students play with Mr. Potato Head dolls. Invite them to make each Mr. Potato Head different from each other, much like we are different from our friends.
Activity 2
Give students a copy of Write and Draw paper.
Ask students to name their favorite thing about themselves. Do an example for the class.
Tell the class what your favorite thing is about yourself and write it on the line. Then, draw a picture above showing this trait. Have students complete this activity.
Students will need help writing their describing word. Write a list of describing words that the students say on the board so they can copy it from there.
Activity b
Differentiation Enrichment:
Have students in need of enrichment write additional words about themselves. They can also help struggling peers with sounding out their describing word.
Support: For students having difficulty copying their describing word from the board, write their word in highlighter and have them trace it with a crayon.
V. Giving homework 2 min
Have students stand up and share their drawing with the class. Have them name something they like about a friend that is different from themselves.
VI. Marking. To collect their smiles and counting their points 2min
