Objects of research: language materials of the Uzbek press on the second half of 20^lh and beginning of 21^sl century. ;
The purpose of work: to define of forming and development units of language of Uzbek press! general and original features of newspaper genres, language means to maintenance expressiveness of the newspaper language: lexical, phraseological units, lexical variants, semantic, stylistic and art functions of phraseological units, neological and occasional lexical units, to brightening process in the use of terms in language of Uzbek press during independence and offering practical recommendations.
Methods of research: using the semantic-stylistic, analyses connected with the text, component analyses, descriptive and partially quantitative methods, etc.
The received results and their novelty: there are following steps of enrichments, reforming and developing of Uzbek press:

the culture of press language, a condition and observance of literary norm, the basic lacks, ways and methods of their elimination.
The practical importance: scientific conclusions of research in quality of fundamental work will help to study deeply functional styles on separate genres and improvement of methods of research newspaper language, to brighten processes of newspaper language , on research of language of magazines, radio and TV, research can be used as one of the important sources at drawing up and addition of explanatory dictionaries, the dictionary of neologisms and occasional means, a writing of textbooks and grants under the theory and practice of editing, and also by development of methodical recommendations for journalists and employees of publishing house.
