INTRODUCTION (abstract of PhD dissertation) 
The purpose of researchis to improve the methodology that provides the 
formation of psychological counseling skills of futureteachers-psychologists. 
The object of research is the process of formation of psychological 
counseling skills among students of the specialty “Pedagogy and Psychology” of 
higher education institutions 
The subject of research is the content, form, methods and means of 
developing psychological counseling skills of future teachers-psychologists of 
higher educational institutions. 
The scientific novelty of research is as follows: 
psychological counseling skills were improved based on the mobile 
application “Improving the methodology of forming psychological service skills of 
futureteachers-psychologists”; 
on the basis of the model of the formation of psychological counseling skills, 
the stages, content and functions of counseling, combined into groups, such as 
communication skills, analytical skills, and psychological impact skills, have been 
improved; 
on the basis of the “Mojor” technology in psychological counseling, the 
methods of effective use of mnemonic methods specific to memory, a method of 
relying on mnemonic methods of memorizing information, methods of memorizing 
numbers have been improved; 
the psychological counseling skills of future teachers-psychologists were 
improved based on such assessment criteria as reflection, empathy, listening 
technique, and speech technique. 
Implementation of research results. Based on the results of research the 
formation of psychological counseling skills of future teachers-psychologists: 
proposals for the formation of criteria and technologies for psychological 
counseling of students through theoretical and practical approaches to the 
development of psychological counseling skills of futureteachers-psychologists 
were used in the implementation of the applied project A-1-173 “Development of 
technologies and methods for the formation of youth upbringing in accordance 
with national values”. These proposals contributed to the improvement of the 
process of developing psychological counseling skills among future teachers-
psychologists; 
Methodological approaches to the formation of psychological counseling 
skills, proposals for the preparation of future teachers-psychologists for 
psychological counseling, pedagogical conditions for the development of creative 
skills serving the formation of counseling skills among students were used in the 
development of qualification requirements for the specialty of education, approved 
by order of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education No. 603 
of August 24, 2017 As a result, it helped develop students’ creative skills
reflective and empathic communication skills, which serve to develop 
psychological counseling skills;

development of scientific and methodological support for the process of 
forming psychological counseling skills of future teachers-psychologists is 
introduced into practice through the content of the developed technologies and 
criteria, and is incorporated into the content of the textbook “Technology of 
psychological counseling of future teachers-psychologists”. (Certificate of the 
Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of Republic of 
Uzbekistan No. 110-165 of March 1, 2021). The recommendations of this textbook 
serve to develop the skills of psychological counseling in pedagogical activities of 
futureteachers-psychologists. As a result, effective methods, tools, stages of the 
formation of psychological counseling skills, as well as the level of preparation for 
teaching were identified.
