THEME 2. Aspects that should be improved in hotel industry in Samarkand.
It is well known that Samarkand draws tourists because of its long-standing history and culture. Visitors come here to experience the Eastern ambiance and the renowned Uzbek hospitality. However, by adding to and diversifying the activities provided by neighborhood travel companies, visitors' interests and hobbies can be taken into consideration. Aygul (aged 29) during the interview pointed that: “I was at 3 different hotels and all of them has problem with their network. In order to not to make visitors go crazy they should update all their networking system. I exactly went crazy 2 days ago when I was on an important online meeting with my managers, my internet was cut off and that boiled my mind at all. I think Uzbekistan also has to create a special Company that serves only for tourist that provides high quality network”. Nursulton ( Aygul’s husband, aged 33) also criticized the banking overall. He stated: “ I have never been in a country that’s shops do not have Visa or any online payment methods. It took 3 hours to go bank and exchange my dollars to Uzbek sums and come back to Shop to buy only a water, that’s crazy. I think Modern Hotels in Modern Society should have their own grocery and gift shops that can serves to their visitors without any troubles that I had yesterday”. Most of the tourists stated about network but there is nothing to change in hotel industry because our Hotels policy is the same as European hotels and I think all of the visitors are enjoying our hotels.
THEME 3. Hospitality and discipline of hotels’ staff as main features of excellent guest service.
In today’s modern wild world, it is difficult to live among fierce companies that are prudent to be adequate in all concerns. When it comes about hotels of Samarkand, they are all known as best on hospitality and discipline to their visitors. While the interview George Bariatski (aged 35) said lovely words about hotels of Samarkand, he stated: “I have been in many countries of Europe and in many States of USA but I have never seen such a hospital people among them. I really fall in love to Uzbek nation because you will have everything when you live among them”. Besides that, one of tourists who has experience in Hotel industry Jessica (aged 44) mentined that: “I have heard a lot about Uzbek nation and their cultures on my Fashion shows and from Colleagues that they are good enough on hospitality and now I am sure of it. Because from the first day of my arrival, I was treated very well from airport staffs. They also involved me to taste very, very delicious National meal, “Plov”. It was unforgettable first impression about Uzbek people. Besides that I have the same aura in the Hotel”.
Conclusion
Chapter 4 has presented the analysis of face-to-face interviews with international visitors (n=9). three major themes related to expectations of accommodations, kinds of special interest services that would be interesting for guests, what will improve quality of services in hotels of Samarkand, services and products that have satisfied the guests most, lack of standards of provision of service have been identified and analyzed by opinions, insights and feedbacks of respondents.
