CORRUPTION IS AN ENEMY OF DEVELOPMENT

Abstract: The main issue discussed in this article is that corruption is the main 
obstacle in the process of modernization and economic growth of the country. In addition, 
they were informed about what corruption is, the factors that cause it, and effective solutions 
based on the world's experiences in the fight against corruption.

corruption, digitized technology, responsible press, salary level, institutional control. 
Corruption is one of the most pressing issues in the world today. Although a lot of 
evidence shows that corruption has existed for thousands of years, it has received more 
attention in recent years. The fact that it has reached these days shows that, like other vices, 
it cannot be completely eradicated. However, the prevention and fight against corruption, 
which threatens the development of society and the state, has always continued in all 
countries on Earth. 
Definition and concepts. Corruption has been defined in various ways, each of which 
lacks certain aspects. A few years ago, even the question of the definition of corruption took 
up most of the time spent discussing it in many conferences and meetings. The most popular 
and simplest definition of corruption is the use of a public position by a person for his own 
interests, or in other words, the use of a position, title or status by an official for his own 
personal benefit. 
Based on the above definitions, examples of corrupt behavior can be: bribery, 
extortion, fraud, embezzlement, nepotism, appropriation of public property for personal use, 
etc. In this list of corrupt practices, activities such as fraud and embezzlement can be carried 
out by an official alone or without the involvement of a second party. Bribery and extortion 
involve two parties - the giver and the receiver - in the transaction.
