PROSPECTS OF TAKING THE ECONOMY OF UZBEKISTAN TO A NEW LEVEL

Abstract: This article discusses the organization of the economy of our Republic, its 
current state, prospects for bringing it to a new level, established directions, strategies.

INTRODUCTION 
After gaining independence, the Republic of Uzbekistan chose its own economic 
path, which was a step-by-step transition to a market economy. Today, the whole world 
recognizes that the chosen path is correct. Even during the global economic crisis that 
started in 2008, our country came out with minimal damage, which was recognized by the 
world community. Today, the economic sphere is being renewed and changing day by day. 
In this process, bringing the economy to a new level is an urgent task. According to this 
process, a number of reforms are being carried out by our country. In particular, with the 
Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated March 26, 2020 "On measures 
to radically update the state policy on economic development and poverty reduction" No.

- introduction of market mechanisms of economic management based on the analysis 
and forecasting of macroeconomic indicators, formation of a strategy for the development 
of the main sectors of the economy in connection with the state of the real sector of the
