Due to the increase of mutual sharp conflicts, the relations between the two 
neighboring regions were cut off in the nineteenth century, barriers appeared between 
Central and South Asia and borders were closed. For this reason, today, these regions 
experience the absence of effective cross-border roads, poorly developed trade and 
economic relations and the potential of cultural and humanitarian relations has not been fully 
utilized.
Domestic factors are becoming more important in creating instability in Central Asia. 
4 republics are considered Turkic-speaking in terms of language and culture. Persians 
dominate in Tajikistan. And in Afghanistan, there are also various nationalities. An important 
role in Central Asia is mainly played by Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan, by its 
geographical location, protects other republics from direct threats to Russia.
Uzbekistan in practice is the main candidate for leadership in Central Asia. Despite 
the fact that the territory of Uzbekistan is small, and the natural wealth is less than in 
Kazakhstan, there is a large population here. The important thing is that they are the same 
in comparison with the residents of Kazakhstan. Uzbekistan and India have potentially equal 
opportunities to form bridges between the two regions. 
India, by contrast, is in the process of transforming itself into a regional state and 
sees itself as a potential major geostrategic player around the world. It sees itself as a rival 
to China. Perhaps this is an overestimation of its previous capabilities, but India is 
undoubtedly a strong state in South Asia and has become such a country not only to 
intimidate Pakistan, but also to balance its nuclear arsenals in China [2]. 
India is one of the largest importers of energy resources in the world, and her needs 
are still growing. In Central Asia, Kazakhstan occupies a leading position in the energy 
sector. To continue their economic modernization and sustained growth, India and 
Kazakhstan rely strongly on energy imports and exports, respectively.
