- Communicative competence
Competence is knowledge in one or another field. "Competence" (lat.
competo - I am achieving, I am worthy, I am worthy) - 1) the range of powers, rights and duties of a certain state body (local self-government body) or official defined by law, charter or other document; 2) knowledge, experience in this or that field. Communicative competence is a general communicative characteristic of a person, which includes communication skills, knowledge, skills and abilities, emotional and social experience in the field of business relations. Lexical competence is the competence in understanding words, unde rstood as a component of general semantic competence. The main goal of teaching foreign languages to students of higher agricultural educational institutions in Uzbekistan is to prepare specialists who know a foreign language well, which allows to increase competitiveness in the world market. The research conducted in this regard is focused on the formation of skills aimed at special speech in a certain field of science, reading and listening to original texts, working with specialized articles, as well as writing special texts. Students are prepared to communicate in situations in their future professional life, such as conference programs, management of various processes, debates, and practical research in the field. In Business Communication, students learn about verbal and non-verbal communication in negotiations, learn the various negotiation tactics necessary for successful business deals, and learn about cultural differences in the context of international negotiations. The purpose of this presentation is to teach students about academic writing (topic selection, preliminary research, writing preparation methods, scientific text structure, etc.) and related techniques. 24 Kyle K., S.A. Kushieva, the technology based on the modular system was used as a basis for teaching English to students of non- philological education, especially agricultural education, based on cluster approaches 26 . D.M. Israilova's study "Professionally oriented English teaching of students in non-philological higher educational institutions in interdisciplinarity (in the case of the faculty of technology)" teaches professional English in non-philological higher educational institutions, the correct selection of teaching materials, ESP (English for Specific Purposes) and GE (General English), taking into account the specific features of the directions, coordinating the suitability of EOP (English for Occupational Purposes) to the specialty, a new term "Field of needs" was proposed to the methodology 27 . In the research of F.I. Ikromkhonova, a model of a modern remedial course in English was created, a methodical technology for passing a communicative- cognitive remedial course was developed, a series of exercises for correcting the program material learned in the secondary education system of English in a new educational situation and integrating it with the content of the higher education program is theoretical and a minimum of specialized (textile) terms that are practically justified and meet the needs of students of a technical higher education institution have been compiled 28 . Communication is an important part of everyday life. Even when we are alone, we communicate with ourselves and in some way with other people. Our success, status or achievements in our organization depends on our ability to communicate. Therefore, especially in the teaching of English in higher education institutions specializing in agriculture, it is important to create a lively communication environment for future personnel within their fields. In order to overcome obstacles in the development of lexical competence in this process, first of all, it is necessary to analyze the problems and needs that arise in this process and form the process on this basis. The curriculum is designed to be used flexibly by each institution to meet the specific academic and professional language needs of its students, covering a variety of genres, topics and learning materials. Teachers plan lessons based on the specifics of the chosen genre and the conversational structure of the relevant texts. This document includes the teaching of foreign languages in two stages 29 : languages for general purposes (LGP); 2 language for special purposes (LSP). In order to achieve B1 or B2 level, foreign languages must be taught in all years of bachelor's programs. General language should normally be taught at stage 1; it is desirable to teach languages for special purposes usually in 2-4 years. Given that in most courses English classes can be completed over 3 years, it may be necessary to combine the LGP with the LSP, depending on the student's level. In higher education institutions specializing in agriculture, English language classes usually consist of 6 semesters. Therefore, as mentioned above, it is desirable that the LGP and LSP are passed in harmony as much as possible. Usually, English language classes first of all provide basic knowledge to the lower- year students, such as introducing themselves, giving information about their family, where they live, and later, course materials are given with reference to information about their specialization.
