Dissertation material was discussed in different places, with the department staff, with the participation of experts, professors, teaching and methodical department and heads of higher education institutions. 3 tasks were given for each stage on social and professional communication in primary English, use of agricultural terminologies in oral and written speech, and professional writing skills of students studying agriculture. To determine the general professional and general academic competence and qualifications of students of the 1st stage: Task 1: social communication, dating and introducing others in English, sending informal letters to determine general English competences; Task 2: in order to determine the skills of the general academic English language, tasks were given to determine the skills of writing agricultural terms: agricultural products, crops, special equipment, field areas, crop care, soil fertility, use of mineral and local fertilizers, safety equipment, technical equipment. On the basis of these tasks, the initial state of lexical competence and skills of general professional and general academic English of the 1st level students was determined. The indicators of the results are reflected in the following table (see table 3.8): |
