Activity 10: Matching the Objective & Activity Multiple Choice
Divide Mentees into groups of 3.
Give each group a set of 3 cards—one with A, one with B, one with C.
Give each group a copy of Handout: Matching the Objective & Activity Multiple Choice or project it on a screen.
Groups read the first objective and discuss which activity best demonstrates that the students met the objective.
Say 3-2-1, go. Groups raise the letter that matches their answer.
Ask groups why they chose their answers. Use the answer key to help them.
Ask Mentees what all 3 activities have in common. They all:
relate back to the objective. They let students apply what they learned and show they met the lesson objective.
allow students to use language freely or independently.
require students to produce language through speaking or writing.
Look at the activities list on the poster from the brainstorming activity. Ask which activities could be used to show that students met the lesson objective. Put a star by them.
Examples: role play, presentation, project, writing an essay, writing a poem, creating a video
Transition: After lunch, you will write a good objective for an activity.
