Slide 5
Wow! This is our last in person session together. Let’s do a quick warm up before we learn more about extending textbook activities and doing a full peer observation.
Activity 1: Warm Up
Slide 6
Transition: Yesterday you learning about how to extend textbook activities. You adapted 3 activities. You adapted the jazz chant to fit Uzbek culture, you made the music discussion more engaging by creating a survey, and you helped students support each other in a difficult activity by doing a grammar group board race. Then you worked in groups of 3 to choose and extend an activity from your Session 4 lesson plan.
Slide 7
Today, you will teach two activities from your lesson plan. Plus you will do a full pre-observation.

Slide 11 – Post-Observation Conversation
The final step is the post-observation conversation. We will learn more about it now.
What does it look like?
During the Post-Observation Conversation you follow the Praise-Question-Polish (PQP) Protocol.
You’ve been informally doing PQP this week when you asked PQP questions about what was “well done”, “needs a little work”, and “needs a lot of work” and then give suggestions.
You say what you liked or what went well. You ask a question. You offer a suggestion or advice on how to make the activity better using the Observation Rubric.
