Activity 11: Writing an Objective and Designing an Activity
Divide students into groups of 3.
Give instructions:
Choose one lesson from your textbook.
Write one objective.
Design one activity that lets students show they met the objective.
Use the CoP Rubric (Plan, Teach, Reflect, Adjust) to evaluate your activity objective and how the activity meets the objective.
When Mentees finish, pair up the groups of 3 (now there are 6 people in a group).
Mentees read their objectives and activities and get feedback using the Feedback Rubric.
Mentees revise their objective and activity based on the feedback. Monitor and assist.
Transition: Let’s reflect on what you have learned and what you still need to know about writing a good objective.
