reduced, due to skills that become virtually ineffective, and sometimes simply
unnecessary, can also be carried out a reduction in the amount of material studied.
Other arrangement of accents in educational material can promote allocation in it the
main thing and thus more accurately to define a kernel of high school preparation of
the student.
The use of modern information technologies in teaching will certainly
strengthen the ideological orientation of the educational material, Polytechnic
orientation (consideration of processes instead of States, demonstration of models of
real processes and phenomena, the study of these processes in dynamics with variation
of different parameters of the model, etc.). Thus, the possibility of strengthening the
applied orientation of University courses will be realized.
With the widespread introduction of computers in the learning process,
traditional methods undergo a qualitative change (for example, conversations will be
mostly generalizing or introductory). All types of independent work of students will
significantly expand both in depth and in volume, as the computer is an effective means
of processing the results of these works, diagnosing errors, appropriate adjustment of
the subsequent activities of each student. It is possible that there will be new forms and
methods of training in which the combination of "live and machine words" will be very
effective.
When using a computer, new opportunities arise in the successful application
of the method of active learning, which is based on the use of specific sensory
perceptions of the student. The method of active learning, also called the method of
learning on models, suggests that students are invited to conduct various experiments
on a particular didactic material and discover in the course of the experience of a
particular pattern. In the real environment of the student, there is often not enough of
such material, so the illustrative function of the computer is extremely effective (the
combination of static and dynamic, the impact of color schemes, the availability of
tools for graphical display of the results of modeling and simulation), the use of the
computer in this method of teaching is very promising.
Moreover, the computer allows us to raise the method of model research as a
method of training to a qualitatively different level. By using models defined as sets of
qualitative relations or quantitative equations, training programs can deliver training
material in ways not available to traditional teaching methods.
