The problems of English dictionary

CONCLUSION FOR CHAPTER III.

Thus, the fundamental task of creating a complete idiolect dictionary poses many problems for lexicographers. Not all of them can be solved equally satisfactorily, and in the work completed to date, the compilers clearly see the mistakes, inaccuracies, and contradictions made. And yet, each new dictionary is a step forward in comprehending the linguistic matter and the personality of a person who speaks the language. The experience of the pioneers will help to translate new projects into lexicographic practice and at the same time serve to develop the theory of lexicography.
The development of lexicographic practice goes in several directions: large-scale lexicographic projects are being carried out, within the framework of which dictionaries are created that represent wide lexical arrays; the range of dictionaries describing individual levels of the language is expanding; dictionaries are being actively developed, taking into account a wide range of addressees. Fundamentally new dictionaries are also being created, in which modern achievements of linguistic science are embodied.
Linguistic science of the 21st century seeks to embody all aspects of the acquired knowledge in a dictionary form. In connection with the introduction of computer technologies, the outlines of modern lexicography have changed significantly, and the possibilities of the user of vocabulary products have expanded extraordinarily. Today, the task of creating an electronic database, which will include all significant dictionaries, as well as an extensive bank of texts, is being successfully solved. Since all database components are interconnected, the user of this fund will be able to obtain information from any dictionary or from a set of dictionaries according to the specified parameters in any form (alphabetical, direct, reverse, statistical) in a short time.
GENERAL CONCLUSION.
Dictionaries play a very important role in linguistics and lexicography and in any sphere of activity connected to a language, because they are concerned with words. Dictionaries have become essential in the period of the Middle Ages and they stay essential for us nowadays. The people`s need in a dictionary is obvious. Whoever we are, simply common readers or tourists, scientists or linguistic students, we all need a good dictionary to guide us in the world of words because words of our own language as well as of a foreign one, are the significant part of our life. lexicography linguistic dictionary translation
Dictionaries give us necessary information about words and each type of a dictionary is important in its own way as each of them represent one definite aspect of a word: its history, pronunciation, common usage, the notion it expresses or even its idiomatic sense. Some of its types were developed in the Middle Ages, some at the Renaissance period, and some have appeared in modern times, but without any single one of the types of a dictionary the language will become poorer and lose part of its diversity.
Nowadays there is a great increase in the English vocabulary, related to the widening of the word stock and constant adding new words to it, and it is quite possible that this process will continue and there will be more new types of dictionaries because the world is constantly changing and become more and more global, and different nations are communicating with each other more through the Internet, enriching languages with a lot of foreign words and expressions.
One of the actual problems of lexicography at the present stage is creation of dictionaries, reflecting all the new processes of social life, satisfy needs of different users. Analyzing materials which concern the importance of creating dictionaries, we can conclude that the need for dictionaries of different kinds and types of increases due to the constant changes in social life, which immediately found its reflection in language, as well as expansion of business, academic and cultural contacts between different countries. Despite the titanic work of lexicographers in published dictionaries sometimes we see a confusion set of words, violations of the current spelling, which is explained by lack of a unified methodological basis of making dictionaries. Therefore, compiling the dictionaries, should be use best practices of national and world lexicography.
