How has the profile and number of students taking these courses changed over the past few years, and what do you feel are the factors that have influenced this?
The number of students applying for the BSc in HRM is more or less similar to past years. Yet, the profile of our students has radically changed owing to more international students coming to study in Scotland due to the tremendous fee increase within the UK universities. Our university has also better promoted its courses globally so as to attract more international students.
There is not any book writing plan within my academic agenda at the moment. However, I am highly interested in writing a HRM/HRD book by incorporating the element of the economic crisis as a leading factor of affecting its strategic adoption, especially in industries such as banking which constitute one of the main pillars of most national economies around the globe.
Please tell us about any book writing plans that you have now or in the future
