For this game, a concrete topic must be given to the children e.g., fruit. Pupils have to stand up in a circle and the teacher counts to three and announces the topic. After that, the first pupil in the circle should present a word related to the topic the next pupil repeats previous work and adds his\her own and so on. The pupils who cannot say a new word or repeat the words of the last pupil have to take a seat. The last pupil left in the circle is declared the winner. “Pictionary” is the third example of the mentioned above games that could be considered useful for developing lexical competence of the young learners. For this game two teams should be organized. Each team should sit on the opposite side of the classroom. One student from each team should come to the board where the teacher gives out a word of phrase for the pupil to be drawn on the board as a clue. The team that first guesses the word gets the point. Though games are very popular among young learners, they should not be overused. Games for teaching purposes should be chosen appropriately to pupils’ age, level of language proficiency, and their interests. Teacher should have special preparations for the lessons with using games. They include ways of presenting game rules, materials design, time management, organizing game procedure. In conclusion, it is worth to mention that although games for teaching vocabulary have their advantages and disadvantages using such games enable young learners to participate lesson with fun and acquire vocabulary effectively.
