In this regard, the legislative acts, decrees and decisions adopted in recent years are of great importance in improving the well- being of the population by supporting the elderly citizens and those in need of social protection. At this point, it should be noted that pension funds are an important means of ensuring social stability in society. Social stability is one of the main internal factors that ensure stable functioning of society and state social institutions and development in all areas. The development and strengthening of pension funds is inextricably linked with socio-demographic factors - population growth rate, birth and death rates, the level of development of the education and healthcare sectors, as well as the economy. The study of the pension system of our republic showed that the main issue facing the pension system at the present time is to maximize the stratified coverage of the population (48.4%) engaged in labor activity, which is currently at a very low level. In the private sector (about 4 million people) and the population of the self- employed category, the income from mandatory and voluntary pension contributions is even less (41.7%), and the level of income concealment by paying wages without official registration is also high. With the development of private entrepreneurship, coverage of the population earning income through self-employment and the informal sector of the economy is gaining importance.
