CUTTING EDGE-SCIENCE
2022 Shawnee, USA October - first: inadequate soft palate without cleft, which is a congenital structural anatomical deficiency; - the second - paresis and paralysis caused by a violation of the conduction of the V and VII pairs of cranial nerves, characteristic of a number of diseases. In these cases, PPR insufficiency can be combined with a cleft uvula and no bone defect is observed. In this case, instead of an indentation on the posterior edge of the hard palate, a smooth edge can be noted at the level of the borders of the transition from the hard palate to the soft palate. To qualify a cleft palate as latent, it is necessary to have three main features: a triangular bone defect in the midline of the hard palate, a muscular defect in the soft palate, and a split uvula. Most cases of congenital latent cleft palate are asymptomatic, which explains the statements of experts about the latent form of congenital cleft palate as a "rare" pathology. It seems to us that knowledge of the pathogenesis of congenital latent cleft palate and its timely diagnosis at the level of a micropediatrician, pediatrician, otorhinolaryngologist, psychoneurologist, starting from the maternity hospital, will improve the quality of care for this category of patients, especially at an early age, and timely information from audiologists Centers, starting with maternity hospitals, will also allow studying the state of the auditory function of children in the early stages of growth and development. To determine the tactics of rehabilitation of patients with congenital cleft lip and palate, knowledge of early surgical rehabilitation is required, which is directly related in the future to the formation of speech, the state of the ENT organs. Therefore, the professionalism of the surgeon, a comprehensive examination of the patient at an early age provides for the construction of an individual rehabilitation program. The presence of congenital cleft lip and palate requires special attention and diagnostics, because most often we will talk about the inferiority of the function of the PPR, respectively, the auditory function of patients.
