3.4 Additional & Exceptions to ADV Planning Requirements3.4.1Additions to ADV Planning RequirementsThis section specifies any additional program and/or commodity specific ADV planning requirements. No Additions to Requirements. For components with Electrical/Electronic content, the following additional planning requirements must be included. note: Electrical/Electronic content is defined as any component that has wires going to it or has an internal electrical power source like a battery. For components with Electrical/Electronic content: The supplier shall utilize the General Motors Component EMc and ENvironmental Test database (known by the acronym ‘CEMENT’) available via GM Supply Power. The suppliers shall adhere to the following: Register with CEMENT through GM Supply Power and take the appropriate GM online training immediately following sourcing. The user registration must occur no later than 2 weeks after sourcing. It is suggested the supplier discuss with the GM GMW3172 Environmental (ENV) and GM component EMC (GMW3097) engineers who at the supplier company should do the registration. Register all components associated with the EMC and ENV Test Plan into CEMENT (may use the less finish part numbers for styled parts with EMC/ENV approval) 3 weeks after supplier sourcing. Submit component details and create family for all registered components into CEMENT database 4 weeks after supplier sourcing. Submit (upload into CEMENT) Initial GMW3172 Environmental Test Plan for approval by the GM ENV Approver (GM Environmental Approver) per Table 3.1. Any/all subsequent revisions to the same level plan (e.g., DV1, DV2, …. PVn) shall be uploaded into CEMENT, replacing the previous version. The final version of the Test Plan shall be submitted per Table 3.1. Submit (upload into CEMENT) initial GMW3103 EMC Test Plan for approval by the GM EMC Approver per Table 3.1.. Any/all subsequent revisions to the same level plan (e.g., DV1, DV2, …. PVn) shall be uploaded into CEMENT, replacing the previous version. The final version of the Test Plan shall be submitted per Table 3.1 For each required procedure, submit (Upload into CEMENT) a report which contains all data, photos, summary, etc. within 30 days of completion of the specific testing for that procedure. Unless otherwise agreed to by the GM EMC / ENV Approver, GM DRE, and Validation Engineer; all of these reports must be submitted at least 10 business days prior to the data approval date This allows sufficient time for the GM EMC / ENV Approver to review and approve the datasets. The Supplier shall submit an Initial Component Environmental Test Plan as part of the initial Quote Response Package. The Initial Component Environmental Test Plan shall be completed through section 2 (Refer to GMW3172 for details). The Initial Component Environmental Test Plan shall be based on the GMW3172 code letters as stated in the CTS/SSTS. If the GMW3172 code letters are not identified in the CTS/SSTS, the supplier shall obtain them from the GM Validation Engineer. The Supplier shall submit a draft of the Environmental Test Plan to the GM Validation Engineer using the CEMENT database, for review and approval by the GM Environmental/Durability Expert. The Test Plan, also known as (Initial GMW3172 Environmental Test Plan), shall be submitted per Table 3.1 The Final Component Environmental Test Plan shall comprehend any failure modes identified in the GMW3172 Hardware Design Review. GM approval of the Final Component Environmental Test Plan is mandatory. The GM Environmental/Durability Expert’s approval shall be provided to the supplier. This approval shall be done using the CEMENT database. The approved copy of the Final Component Environmental Test Plan shall be retained by the Supplier until Commodity Validation Sign-off is complete. Supplier shall have a process for managing, and documenting changes to the Component Environmental and Component EMC Test Plans. (note: CEMENT only stores the approved version of a Test Plan. CEMENT does not store iterative copies of the test plan.) For Engineering Changes (e.g., Engineering Work Order (EWO)) or other changes requiring validation, the supplier is required to fill out the part substitution matrix provided by the Environmental Engineer. The Component Environmental Test Plan and the EMC test plan shall be revised or a new Component Environmental and EMC Test Plan shall be submitted for approval (running change).Once the Component Environmental Test Plan is approved, the required testing must be included in the Final Supplier ADV Plan prior to its approval.
