RESEACH Methodology
The method of this research was classroom action research. Suharsimi (2002) said that Classroom Action Research has several words they are Classroom, Action , and) Research. Classroom means a group of people (Teacher and Students) that has teaching and learning process in a room. Action means doing the with activity a specific purpose. The, research means doing the activities with the methodology in order to solve the problem. This research done at SMP N 1 Bangko Kabupaten Merangin, The participants of the research were the students at the seventh grade. They were 25 students with 16 females and 9 males. The instruments of this study were : a. Observation sheet Observation is the source of data, before and during the researcher did the research, she did the observation. From the observation, the researcher knew the situation and condition in the class. During the research, the researcher prepared the observation sheet for teacher and students in order to know the situation in the classroom and it was filled by the collaborator. b. Task Task is used to see the ability of students in knowing the English vocabulary. c. Recording Recording is used to see the real situation when the students learned English vocabulary. In analysing the data, the researcher used two methods,they were quantitive and qualitative. In quantiative method, the researcher tried to analyse students’ score of vocabulary task. Then, in qualiative method, the researcher analyzed the observation sheet and recording during the research . RESEARCH PROCEDURE In this research the researcher used two cycles.
