The application of herbicides and pesticides can have direct
consequences on flora and
invertebrates as well as secondary impacts on other fauna.
The magnitude and
unmitigated significance calculations are presented in the table below.

The following mitigation measures will be implemented to further reduce risk:
Restricting use to only when absolutely necessary.
Using only non-toxic forms of deterrents.
With the above measures, the
residual significance is presented in the following table.

OLLISION
Wildlife can be runover or collide with, motorized vehicles and equipment.
Small to medium
sized wildlife such as to hare, hedgehog and rodents, tortoise, lizards, snakes
and amphibians have a higher chance of mortality from vehicular and machinery collisions
(as the site vehicles will be traveling under speed restrictions and large equipment movement
such as cranes and turbine parts will be very slow). This
could also apply to endangered,
threatened and non-threatened raptors which may scavenge from road-kill.
However, the impact from use of roads during the operational phase is relatively minor given
the low volume of traffic during operation.
The magnitude and unmitigated significance calculations are presented in the table below.
