The aim of course work is to give theoretical argumentation for the importance of the usage of games in teaching English for young learners. In accordance with the main aim it is necessary to solve the following problems:
What kind of methods can be used in teaching young learners; Practical usage of games in teaching young learners; Describing the results of our activities in the classroom. We consider that the novelty of the work is in the fact that there’s no article written on the problem in special journals of our country. I have worked out some games and activities of which I made wide use during my English language lessons at my pedagogical practice. As is the custom, the graduation project work consists of two parts: theoretical and practical chapters. The theoretical one consists of two paragraphs. The theoretical and practical meaning of the research consists in usage of games to teach foreign languages. At the same time they can be used in practice of reading in higher educational institutions and in school courses as a teaching method. The structure of the research paper consists of introduction, two chapters, conclusion and bibliography. The first chapter introduces and specifies the methods of teaching young learners The second chapter deals with the ways of using games in the primary school children when teaching foreign languages. In Conclusion the basic results of investigation are submitted and at the end The list of used literature. the references to the used literature. CHAPTER I. THE CLASSROOM GAMES AT DIFFERENT STAGES OF LEARNING ENGLISH Group work activities as the educational tool for teachers Group work activities have become increasingly popular in educational settings as a way to enhance student learning and engagement. However, it is important for teachers to carefully plan and manage group work activities to ensure that all students are engaged and learning effectively. Characteristics of group work activities include: Collaboration: Group work activities involve students working together towards a common goal. Shared Responsibility: Group work activities involve shared responsibility among students to complete tasks and achieve goals. Types of Group Work Activities There are different types of group work activities that teachers can use in their classrooms. Some of the most popular types include: Group Discussions: In group discussions, students discuss a topic or issue and share their ideas and opinions with each other. Group Projects: Group projects involve students working together to complete a project or task. This could be a research project, a presentation, or a creative project. Peer Review: Peer review involves students reviewing each other's work and providing feedback and suggestions for improvement. Role-Playing: Role-playing activities involve students taking on different roles and acting out scenarios or situations. Problem-Solving Activities: Problem-solving activities require students to work together to solve a problem or complete a task. Tips for Effective Group Work To ensure that group work activities are effective, teachers should consider the following tips: Set Clear Goals and Expectations: Teachers should set clear goals and expectations for group work activities, including the roles and responsibilities of each student.
